Electronic File Requirements

WE ACCEPT MAC AND PC FILES

ACCEPTABLE DISKS
3 1/2" Floppy Disks; 44, 88, 200 MB Syquest; Zip Disk;
Jaz Disk; CD ROMs and DVD ROMs.

ACCEPTABLE PROGRAMS

Quark Xpress, Macromedia FreeHand, Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe Photoshop,
Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
Hi Res PDF(s) - Get our PDF Press settings at our FTP download page .

IN ONE JOB FOLDER INCLUDE:
The layout file(s) and all support files (Flattened TIFF, EPS, and all original files).
All hi-resolution scanned images must be converted to CMYK with the resolution between 275 - 350 DPI at final size. Please supply only what is necessary
to output file correctly.
In a separate folder titled "Fonts": both printer and screen fonts if you're using Postscript Fonts or a single suitcase if you use true type. Do not mix the two.
Support files: logos, blends, or other artwork and any fonts used in these files.

PROCESS COLORS
Use CMYK "process" colors whenever creating new colors.
Select the "Process" box in the color palette.
PMS colors are also accepted. Be sure the "Process"
box is not selected for any PMS colors and
note the PMS colors on the layout. All Black backgrounds should be setup as
40% cyan, 35% magenta, 35% yellow, and 100% black.

BLEEDS

Colors and photos extending to the trim must go
at least 1/16" past the trim on postcard products
and 1/8" past the trim edge on all other products.

 Type safety is the distance text must be placed inside of the trim line
to ensure that it is not accidentally cut off when trimmed to final size.
    We recommend type safeties should always be  3/16" (.1875") 
inside your document's final trim edge.

TRAPPING
Will be handled by Dynacolor. Please do not trap any files.

FOLDS
Follow panel sizes by using a Dynacolor template.

COMPRESSED FILES
Need to be self-extracting or sent with the decompression program.

ACTUAL SIZE PRINTOUTS
The final corrected file must be sent with each order. The printout should include
crop marks and all color breaks should be indicated.
